The WPA Guide is a comprehensive travel and cultural handbook published in 1940 as part of the Federal Writers Project under the Works Progress Administration’s American Guide Series. It features historic narratives, travel routes, cultural and folkloric insights. Most importantly it includes Huntsville, Texas on pages 417-419.
